Required Documentation:

  1. Completion of Elms College Graduate Admission Application and $30 fee
  2. Goal statement for graduate study. (A one-page essay discussing professional goals and reason for applying to the MBA or MS program)
  3. Two letters of recommendation, either academic or professional
  4. Official transcripts from all college or universities
  5. Current resume.
  6. Please note: Elms College does not require the submission of GMAT examination scores.

    In addition, International Students must submit the following:

    1. F-1 Visa Request Form and supporting documents
    2. Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (T.O.E.F.L.) test scores (for non-native English language speakers). A minimum score of 79-80 is required. Elms College’s board number for the T.O.E.F.L. is 3283.

Records and Confidentiality

Any and all information submitted with the Application for Admission becomes the property of Elms College in accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. Your application materials will be kept confidential within the confines of Elms College. Financial Assistance

No institutional funds are available for financial aid. A FAFSA will determine if you are eligible for a Stafford Loan. Elms College's school code is 002140. The FAFSA does not apply to international students. Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid Assistance for more information at 1-413-265-2249 or finaid@elms.edu.

International Students

International students are encourage to apply to Elms College undergraduate programs. An applicant who is not a United States citizen or permanent resident, and who wishes to apply for an F-1 Student Visa must submit an F-1 Visa Request Form and supporting documents. Those students whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and earn a minimum scores of 79-80 on the TOEFL ibt. Informational Interview

All candidate are required to complete a face-to-face information interview with the program director or member of the graduate faculty prior to consideration for acceptance.

Academic Requirements

Candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates must have achieves an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. In addition, students need to have successfully completed one semester of the following foundation courses or the equivalent (upon approval), with a grade of “B” or better to satisfy the MBA or MS program prerequisites:

MBA Program & CFP Certificate Prerequisites:

  1. Principles of Accounting I and II
  2. Macro & Microeconomics
  3. Elementary Statistics
  4. Principles of Finance
  5. Principles of Management*
  6. Principles of Marketing*
  7. MBA-Accounting or MS-Accounting/Financial Planning must also have the following in addition to the above:

    1. Intermediate Accounting I and II
    2. Taxation
    3. Advanced Accounting

    Advanced Graduate Certificate of Public Accounting:

    1. Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
    2. To be eligible for a CPA license, please see the individual state requirements for CPA certification or licensure. Must have completed MBA prerequisites or CRP academic leveling.

      Candidates who have not completed the prerequisites may apply to the program and take the prerequisite(s) at Elms College or another institution.

Transfer Credits

Upon approval from the program director, a maximum of nine (9) credits of coursework from another institution will transfer into the MBA or MS program.
